^ Long time bucket list shot – Blue Ring Octopus!
Raja Ampat is spectacular. I’ve been there before, so this time, I’m just uploading a few shots that I liked best. The Blue Ring Octopus was a first for me, and so exciting, found on a night dive.
Another first for me is the Leaf Scorpionfish, a very small species which hides in the grass and is super hard to spot, let alone photograph. This is the best (and it’s not that great) shot I got:
The Ghost Pipefish is another favorite, and we saw several, including this pair:
And finally, the extremely minute seahorses, Hippocampus bargibanti and Hippocampus denise. Both too small to see unaided, but the dive guides have exceptional vision:
