^^ They don’t get much more gorgeous than this!

The beautiful little fella above, about 1/2″ long, is a Tenellia sibogae. (I think!) I found him crawling around a WWII wreck in Chuuk Lagoon. Which wreck? Don’t know. Don’t care.

If you know me, you know I am an extreme nudi geek girl. But nudibranch ID is fraught with the potential for error! I have books and apps to help me, but it’s still a tough job, and sometimes I have to turn to the experts I know.

Below, a nudibranch called a Samla riwo, a weird name for a cool-looking nudi. This one was around 1″ long:

The next one, Caloria indica, is a bit larger, maybe 1.5″, and a fine example of the amazing beauty of these creatures:

And finally, a new-to-me species, an Aegires serenae. This one was around 2″ long, crazy-looking but very cool. The other divers gave it a glance and wandered away, leaving me to marvel that not everyone is obsessed with these awesome critters. I managed to get a pretty good shot:
